A new teacher threatens the boards. Giri or not even Carlsen know this future rival. As any sport, there is a change and this change already this coming.

Hasta la proxima..I see you later my readers....

Jaque Mate Pastor o Mate de Berger(C23). Pastor checkmate or Berger's Mate (C23).

In the Dictionary of Chess, Publishing Martínez Roca, of 1977, compiled for
Author Ramon Ibero, in his page 102 shows us a concept of this peculiar mate.
Shepherd, mate of. 1.e4, e5 2. Bc4 (Opening bishop of the king, C23), Bc5 3. Qh5 (Assault on The point f7, I take 2 General Agreement of Roberto Grau's Chess), Nf6 (Serious mistake) 4. Qxf7 checkmate.

It is a question of an elementary mate that only it is given between beginners, white counter comes one of the beginning of the theory of the openings when the queen develops in the third move, while the black does not prepare of the serious danger that his king.

In the Cartillá of the Chess, Editions Hache Efe, of 1978, which author is E.Grabo. In his page 22 shows us another concept in his graph 22 of this peculiar mate.
1.e4, e5 2. Qf3 (C20, it differs more than evident with the Iberian's example), Nc6 3. Bc4 (Now if C23 and Opening king's bishop for transposition in the order of the plays), 3... Bc5 (Without defense to the point f7 again, seriously mistake) 4. Qxf7 mate.

But in spite of this minimal difference, the author of this article and the readers not imagine the theoretical discovery that later it happens to report, that it will see, will look like more an archaeological discovery, that of chess.

opciones a realizar.

In the French magazine Europe Echecs number 438, of October, 1995, in
Page 35, of an article titled as the Tactical Arsenal, the international teacher
french Sylvain Zinser, realizes a review to the notes before realized and exposes us:
The most famous mate for the beginners is Berger's Mate, where several exist
Options to realizing. The topic is simple and appears of 3 diverse forms:

1) 1.e4,e5 2.Ac4,Cc6 3.Dh5,Cf6 (Grave error) 4.Dxf7 mate.
2) 1.e4,e5 2.Ac4,Cc6 3.Dh5,d6 (Grave error) 4.Dxf7 mate.
3) 1.e4,e5 2.Ac4,Ac5 3.Dh5,Cf6 (Grave error) 4.Dxf7 mate.

1) 1.e4,e5 2.Bc4,Nc6 3.Qh5,Nf6 (Mistake) 4.Qxf7 mate.
2) 1.e4,e5 2.Bc4,Nc6 3.Qh5,d6 (Mistake) 4.Qxf7 mate.
3) 1.e4,e5 2.Bc4,Bc5 3.Qh5,Nf6 (Mistake) 4.Qxf7 mate.

In england received the name of School Mate, he was never found in games in
tournaments, being realized only between young beginners.

In effect, if the blacks were defending themselves correctly playing 3... Qe7! And then Nf6. The white ones would lose several painful times for his future development ( see the games: Moldovan-Pasarelu, C23, Opening bishop of the king, played in Bucuresti 1992, 1-0 in 66 moved ones and Jackson-Krstic, C23 equal opening, played in Australia Juvenile for 12-year-old minors, in the year 1995, 1-0 In 16 moves).

6...Dxf2 mate.

But the question of this almost archaeological discovery, it will be wherefrom it is born Berger's mate, for the investigators in chess, I will say to them that the Scotch opening Variant Steinitz is the inspiration for the accomplishment of Berger's Mate. 4) 1.e4, e5 2. Nf3, Nc6 3.d4, exd4 4. Nxd4, Qh4 (doubtful play for the theory, but interesting for Zinser) 5. Nc3, Bc5 6. Nf3 (Serious mistake, it does not serve 6. Nxc6 for the same mate) 6... Qxf2 mate.

Since one will see, up to the Pastor Checkmate or Berger's Mate they possess his own complexity, makes us think, that meaby if to the chess it is qualified of science, the qualification It is not for anything erroneous and that needs more than passion to discover one of secrets most incredible of our noble game. Really every day the chessplayer of being a mere instructor of the Chess, to turn into a new explorer of the infinite rough terrain that this thousand-year-old game possesses.

To complete the general idea of this mate, it is necessary to know the shallow History Of Johann Nepomuk Berger (1845-1933), player, problemist and theoretical austrian, creator of the system of settlement of a tie Sonneborn-Berger, Berger was outlined like c artistic endings and player for correspondence. Author of diverse works of very didactic and publishing editor of the magazine Deutsche Schachzeitung.
